On July 25, the event titled “Innovation Promotes Revitalization: 2023 Taiwan Entrepreneurs’ Liaoning Tour” kicked off in Shenyang. The event aims to leverage Liaoning’s advantages in connection with Taiwan to provide a broader space for economic and trade cooperation between Liaoning and Taiwan, deepen communication and connection, and share development opportunities. Around 100 Taiwan entrepreneurs participate in this event.

After the opening ceremony, an investment policy briefing was held, during which officials from relevant departments presented diverse topics, including the Three-Year Action Plan for Comprehensive Revitalization and New Breakthroughs in Liaoning, investment policies, policies about equipment manufacturing and the electronic information industry, as well as preferential policies for Taiwan entrepreneurs in rural regions. Following that, a project signing ceremony was held, where a total of 9 projects were signed on site, with a combined investment amounting to 320 million US dollars.

In recent years, Liaoning’s development prospects have remained consistently positive, evident in the notable surge of people, goods, and capital. A fresh wave of cooperation has emerged between central and local state-owned enterprises, while foreign and private businesses are also viewing Liaoning with optimism, recognizing it as fertile ground for innovation and entrepreneurship. At the same time, a growing number of Taiwan compatriots, especially young people, are coming to the mainland for study, business ventures, employment, and settling, finding a stage to realize their dreams. They have witnessed the rapid development of China, and deeply feel that the people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait are members of one big family. They see more investment opportunities, greater growth potential, and more stable development momentum on the mainland.

The event deepens Taiwan entrepreneurs’ understanding of Liaoning’s economic and social development, as well as efforts to preserve traditional culture and revolutionary history. They also gain insights into the regional business environment and the development of Taiwan compatriots in Liaoning. Through this experience, many Taiwan entrepreneurs are able to appreciate Liaoning’s unique charm and explore further opportunities to combine the distinctive industries and resource advantages of both Liaoning and Taiwan. This event is expected to promote more cooperation and create mutually beneficial outcomes.

The event will last for 5 days. In the upcoming days, the attending Taiwan entrepreneurs will embark on visits and engage in discussions across 8 cities and 3 counties, including Shenyang, Dalian, Anshan, and Yingkou to explore and negotiate potential projects.
