Shenyang Railway Museum, the largest railway locomotive museum in Northeast China, covers an area of 80,000 square meters, of which 19,000 square meters are for the exhibition hall with equipment displays and historical photo exhibitions, detailing the changes of the Northeast railway in about a hundred years, since the Qing government built the railway in 1891 till today. It varies from the “first-generation” steam locomotive in 1907, to the steam locomotive that had been running on the railway line in China for 77 years, to the steam locomotive that didn’t burn coal, and to the first independently designed trunk line freight locomotive in China. If you are a train fan, do come to Shenyang Railway Museum for it’s a must for seeing trains!
