On June 9, the latest Vision China event with the theme “Treasuring the Past, Enriching the Future” was held in Jinzhou City, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province. Cultural scholars, archaeology experts, and youth representatives from both China and abroad gathered in Jinzhou to discuss the conservation of cultural heritage and the inheritance of traditional culture.

Liaoning boasts abundant historical and cultural resources, including several world-renowned cultural heritage sites that have gained fame both at home and abroad. In recent days, Chinese and foreign experts, scholars, and youth representatives visited various ancient cultural sites in Liaoning, such as the Shenyang Imperial Palace, Zhaoling Mausoleum, Fuling Mausoleum, Old City of Hetu Ala, Jieshi Palace Site of Qin and Han Dynasties, and Jiumenkou Great Wall, to gain an understanding of the state of cultural site preservation in Liaoning. During the Vision China forum, five experts and scholars from China, the United States, Italy, Australia, and other countries delivered thematic presentations on the conservation of cultural heritage, sharing their experiences and exchanging views.

Marcella Festa, an Italian archaeologist and associate professor at the School of Cultural Heritage of Northwest University, expressed, “The Vision China event has built a bridge for exchanges and cooperation among scholars from China and abroad. The achievements in cultural heritage preservation in Liaoning are truly astonishing.”

The Vision China event was hosted by China Daily and the Publicity Department of the CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee. Through activities such as inviting domestic and international experts for research and holding forums, it promotes cultural exchanges and tells stories about China and Liaoning, fostering mutual learning among civilizations.
