On August 22, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference, presenting the efforts made by the public security system across the province to combat insurance fraud this year.
Liaoning has implemented a new police affairs model featuring “professionalism + mechanism + big data” and has seen that the advantages of various departments across the province are being fully leveraged. With a focus on digital transformation, the province in collaboration with the Liaoning Branch and Dalian Branch of National Financial Regulation Administration, has organized the “provincial, municipal, and prefectural” public security system, financial regulation associations, insurance associations, and insurance institutions in Liaoning, to further establish the Four-Sphere Integrated Mechanism. A special action plan is developed to enhance information sharing, conduct joint crime-fighting operations, and promote public awareness to serve as a deterrent.
In alignment with the theme “Standing Firmly with the People, and Safeguarding the Public”, Liaoning has undertaken comprehensive efforts to implement an integrated media promotion model. This model combines online new media investment with offline face-to-face communication and crime-fighting actions, resulting in a variety of activities with innovative content. The province has focused on legal education in areas susceptible to insurance fraud, such as insurance companies, intermediaries, auto repair shops, and insurance appraisal firms. Additionally, thematic training sessions have been conducted for regulatory authorities, relevant associations, and over 70 insurance institutions in Liaoning, further strengthening their legal awareness.
Next, Liaoning will leverage the province-wide “Summer Campaign” and “Safety Escort” initiatives led by the public security system to strengthen its efforts against insurance fraud. The province will also continue targeted promotional activities to ensure the high-quality development of the financial sector.
