The glassy sea is located in the Dongzhangzi Community of Zhangzidao Island in Changhai County, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. Its crystal-clear water reflects the sunlight at high tide with a glassy sheen, renowned as “the Maldives of Northeast China”.
