The press conference and the launching ceremony of Fancy Winterreise in Liaoning of 2024 Liaoning Wintering Out and Shenyang Snow-Sun Activities were grandly held at the Northeast Asia International Ski Resort on December 17. Guests and tourists from home and abroad gathered together to experience the charm of winter tourism in Liaoning.
The press conference announced three boutique routes featuring winter ice, snow, and hot spring resources, covering a new gameplay of “ice and snow + hot spring + folk experience for all”. The cultural and tourist system in the province innovated integrated development formats such as “travel with sports events”, “travel with performances”, and “travel with exhibitions”. More than 270 cultural and sports tourism activities focusing on cultural events, sport games and tourism of ice and snow, integrating hot spring health care, intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, specialty cuisine, folk temple fairs, ice skating and snow play have been promoted.
In order to meet the diverse demands of winter tourists, the Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, together with relevant units, has jointly launched a series of ice and snow initiatives to boost consumption and benefit the public. The “Liaoning Highway Tour” self driving route and discount packages and 35 “Ice and Snow+Insurance” cultural and tourism exclusive insurance products are just a few incentives released by the Bureau and the Liaoning Provincial Transportation Investment Group and PICC Liaoning Branch.
At the launching ceremony, Liu Kebin, Deputy Mayor of Shenyang City and Director of Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, and Television, extended a winter tour invitation to domestic and foreign tourists; Emmanuel Loriot, Consul General of Consulate General of France in Shenyang, expressed his love for Liaoning and the ice and snow on behalf of international friends in Liaoning.
