In the scorching summer, Shenyang Normal University welcomed a group of Jordanian students who embarked on a journey to experience Liaoning’s culture. Fourteen Jordanian students from Amman TAG-Confucius Institute in Jordan enthusiastically participated in a series of activities of the 2025 “Chinese Bridge” Summer Camp for Jordanian Students. During the two-week period in Shenyang and Dalian, they not only deeply experienced the unique charm of the Chinese language, but also learned about Liaoning’s culture, appreciated Liaoning’s beautiful scenery, and savored Liaoning’s delicacies.

In Shenyang, the students gained knowledge about the Chinese language through immersive courses, and felt the glamor of traditional Chinese culture through cultural experiences such as tea art, ceramic craft, paper-cutting, martial arts, and Peking Opera. They also visited the Shenyang Imperial Palace and the Paleontological Museum of Liaoning. In Dalian, they toured Dongguan Street, and took a cruise to enjoy the beautiful sea scenery of the city. The Jordanian young students said, “China is more brilliant than we imagined.” This summer camp in Liaoning not only allowed them to appreciate the historical heritage of Shenyang and the coastal charm of Dalian, but also to witness the vitality of China’s economy and the inclusiveness of its culture.

The summer camp is hosted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under China’s Ministry of Education, and organized by Shenyang Normal University, the Chinese partner institution of Amman TAG-Confucius Institute in Jordan. Focusing on “language learning + cultural immersion + city exploration”, this summer camp invited the Jordanian students to visit the two charming cities of Shenyang and Dalian in Liaoning.
