On October 19, Shenyang Jianzhu University’s BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) project, recommended by China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and appraised by international authoritative experts, was selected as a typical case of the 30th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The conference will be held in Belém, Brazil from November 10 to 21. During the event, China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment will showcase the university’s BIPV project at this highest-level conference on global climate governance.
Building Integrated Photovoltaics is a technology that integrates solar photovoltaic products into buildings. The university’s selected BIPV project achieves the multiple objectives of energy generation, energy conservation, and aesthetics by integrating high-efficiency photovoltaic modules into the building envelope. This project holds significant demonstrative value for the “dual carbon” goals in urban and rural construction. Moreover, this selection marks international recognition for Shenyang Jianzhu University’s innovative practices in green and low-carbon architecture, and provides a “Chinese solution” for global climate governance.
