Recently, the Liaoning Provincial Museum was selected onto the list of “Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Popularization Bases (2025-2029)”, which was jointly announced by the Department of Science and Technology of Liaoning Province, and Liaoning Association for Science and Technology.
As one of the important public platforms for popularizing history and culture, and promoting art education in Liaoning Province, the Liaoning Provincial Museum has been extending its service functions to schools and communities while carrying out cultural and museum activities. Through various forms such as exhibitions and social education, it continues to launch a variety of science popularization activities both inside and outside the museum, as well as online and offline.

The museum’s brand education program has established a multi-dimensional, interconnected science popularization education system that integrates the “bringing in” and “going global” strategies, as well as “venue experiences and creative classrooms”. It has also launched several sustainable, high-quality science popularization courses tailored to different age groups and academic backgrounds, providing visitors with an immersive and interactive learning experience. The program covers Liaoning’s historical development, traditional crafts, scientific and technological achievements, and culture and art, aiming to guide the public to understand Liaoning’s regional culture through exploration.
Over the years, the Liaoning Provincial Museum has been recognized for its professional efforts in the field of science popularization education. Its “Journey Through Chinese Characters” themed educational project was selected as one of the top 100 national cultural, museum and social education cases in 2022, and its “I’m a Little Museum Researcher” project-based learning activity was awarded an outstanding case of the Fourth National Cultural and Museum Social Education Case Publicity and Display Activity. In the future, the museum will continue to leverage its role as a science popularization education base, further deepening its efforts in popularizing scientific knowledge, spreading scientific approaches, and cultivating the scientific spirit.
