An anchor from LICC took foreign friends to watch dragon boat races, where they were surprised to see international students competing. On June 19, Dingxiang Lake in Shenyang, Liaoning Province hosted the 1st Liaoning Universities Dragon Boat Championships. The competition gathered over 40 teams with more than 700 participants, as young Chinese and international paddlers raced side by side across the lake.
With a history of more than 2,000 years, dragon boat racing carries the spirit of teamwork, perseverance and unity. International youth were spotted at the venue. Belarusian students from Northeastern University cheered for their school team, while international students from other local universities raced alongside Chinese teammates.
The age-old folk custom unites youth across the globe. In the open and inclusive city of Shenyang, the exciting dragon boat event serves as a bridge for cross-cultural exchanges. Follow our camera and join the excitement!
