In the rainy season, Shenyang, Liaoning Province is refreshing and pleasant. Twenty-seven tax and finance officials from seven countries — Malaysia, Uzbekistan, The Gambia, Liberia, Nigeria, the Kingdom of Lesotho, and Grenada — came to attend the “Seminar on Tax Business Environment and Taxpayer Services for BRI Partner Countries”.

On July 10, the 27 tax and finance officials visited the directly administered taxpayer service hall of Shenyang Tax Service, State Taxation Administration, where they experienced intelligent tax guidance and mobile tax services on-site, gaining a firsthand impression of Liaoning’s achievements in smart taxation and convenient taxpayer services. Afterwards, they visited TBEA Shenyang Transformer Group and Shenyang Yuanda Aluminum Industry Group, touring the intelligent industrial exhibition halls of both enterprises and engaging in in-depth exchanges and discussions with enterprise personnel on topics such as improving the quality and efficiency of tax services and optimizing the business environment.

Ousman Bah, Director of the Corporate and Public Affairs Unit (CPA) of the Gambia Revenue Authority, said: “The biggest takeaway from this study trip to Liaoning is that the digitalized smart tax services are incredibly convenient and efficient. This complete and mature online and offline service system, with its low cost and high efficiency, is very suitable to be shared with our country as a reference.”
