The “new guest”, Grus japonensis, has been recently spotted in Damaike Wetland, Tai’an County, Anshan City, Liaoning Province for the first time.They seek for food or stand to rest from time to time, graceful and elegant indeed.Grus japonensis is one of the birds most sensitive to the change of wetland environment.
The first-time observation on Grus japonensis in Anshan is a solid proof of improving local ecological environment.Rare birds including Patalea minor, Haliaeetus albicilla, and Calamornis heudei have paid frequent visits to inhabit here since last year.According to the statistics, more than 300 wild birds have visited and stopped by Damaike Wetland.
