Liaoning Province boasts nearly 20 national nature reserves, in which you can find many rare birds, precious animals and scarce plants. For example, there are many cute spotted seals in Dalian National Spotted Seal Nature Reserve, vipers on the Snake Island of Laotie Mountain Biosphere Reserve, red pine forests and oak forests in the Xianren Cave Nature Reserve in Zhuanghe City, and red-crowned cranes and Saunders’s gulls in Liaohe Estuary National Nature Reserve in Panjin City.
