Mountains in Liaoning Province are not high, but each one is unique and has its own story to tell. Mount Yiwulyu means “lush mountains” in Manchu. It has a unique landform, peculiar peaks and strange stones, making it magnificent and beautiful. Qianshan mountain is named after “thousand mountains”, and is famous for its extraordinary peaks, rocky cliffs, secluded valleys, wondrous pines and blooming flowers. Of course, each mountain has its own features, from the maple-strewn Guanshan Mountain and the gully-run Laotudingzi Mountain to the Chengzi Mountain with royal hunting grounds on it. Among thousands of mountains in Liaoning Province, Phoenix Mountain in Dandong City is the most dangerous. The difficulty of climbing it is comparable to that of climbing Mount Hua (the most dangerous of the Five Mountains). Therefore, it is known as “China’s most adventurous mountain” and is loved by many adventurers.
