Chaoyang City of Liaoning Province is a famous cultural city with a long history. The North Tower, the “First Tower in Northeast China”, is located here. The North Tower, at the north end of Shuangta Street, Chaoyang City, is now 42.6 meters high. It was built during the reign of Emperor Xiaowen in the Taihe period of the Northern Wei Dynasty. In 1988, it was announced by the State Council as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.
The North Tower integrates architectural elements from five dynasties, forming a unique construction form of “tower on tower” and “tower wrapped tower”, as well as a long history of five dynasties converging on one tower, which is very rare.
With its long history, unique buildings and exquisite cultural relics, Chaoyang North Tower has attracted the attention of the whole country and the world, and has become an important window to show the long history and splendid culture of Chaoyang City.
