With the Spring Festival approaching, Shenyang is filled with festive atmosphere everywhere. Red colors and dragon-themed decorations in Zhongjie Street, Taiyuan Street, and Shenyang Railway Station all show the strong festive atmosphere of Northeast China to citizens and tourists. The whole city is covered in red with tanghulu (sugarcoated haws), lanterns, and celebration banners in shopping malls.
