On March 5, in the activity room of the International Education School at Shenyang University of Chemical Technology, more than 40 international students from over 20 countries, including Russia, Yemen, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Laos, Mongolia, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Tanzania, Chad, and Mexico, gathered together to watch a movie about Lei Feng. This gathering served as an opportunity for them to acquaint themselves with Lei Feng, understand his spiritual wealth, and emulate his virtues.

Through the movie presentation and the explanations from the teachers, Lei Feng’s image firmly took root in the hearts of these international students. Of particular impact is Lei Feng’s unwavering commitment to the spirit of dedication, leaving everyone present deeply moved. Bai Lin, an international student from Thailand, said, “Lei Feng was young but extraordinary. As young people, we should follow his example and extend a helping hand to others, contributing our own strength.”

After watching the movie, the international students engaged in a creation activity of Chinese paper-cutting art, creating depictions of Lei Feng that reflected their personal perceptions of him. Su Di, a doctoral student from Kenya, said, “Lei Feng’s spirit is a positive quality that not only influences the lifestyle and attitude of Chinese people but also resonates with people around the world. I hope to stay in China longer to better understand the ‘Lei Feng spirit’ and pass it on to more people.”
