On the evening of April 24, BMW Group held the 2024 BMW Group Night. During the ceremony, the two major brands under the group, BMW and MINI, showcased a significant leap in their brand history. Among them, the BMW Vision Neue Klasse, scheduled to start production in Shenyang in 2026, has been unveiled in China for the first time, demonstrating a remarkable advancement of BMW’s brand and products in design, technology, and philosophy, and revealing the characteristics of the next generation product line: “Very futuristic, more BMW”.

At the “BMW Group Night”, Oliver Zipse, chairman of the board of management of BMW Group, stated, “Electrification, digitization, and sustainability are the megatrends in the automotive industry right now, and they are defining the car of tomorrow. And now with our Neue Klasse, for the first time, we are showcasing the systematic implementation of the automotive industry’s three major areas of future mobility combined in one product. The Neue Klasse is more than just one car, and it represents a start into a completely new model generation.”

The Vision Neue Klasse will adopt a completely new electrical and electronic architecture as well as an advanced “domain controller” design. The intelligent central unit, consisting of four “superbrains”, will elevate the experience of intelligent driving and pure driving pleasure to a higher dimension. “Neue Klasse” is the pioneer of BMW’s innovation, and its innovative achievements will gradually be applied to all BMW models in the future.
