In the late afternoon of a summer day, the sky glowed as the sun set. The Dingxiang (meaning “lilac”) Lake in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning Province shimmered with the sun’s reflection. Tourists flocked to the mid-lake pavilion to witness the sunset. Dingxiang Lake Park covers a total area of about 4.1 million square meters, of which approximately 3.1 million square meters are water areas. Dingxiang Lake is the largest urban lake and the largest artificial lake in Shenyang.
