On October 13, the “Five-Color Tour Routes” international Chinese education collaboration mechanism project for Chinese language learners in China was officially launched. As part of the project, 17 international students visited Shenyang’s “internet celebrity spots” in quest of the great charm of Liaoning via immersive experiences and real-life interactions.
Themed on “Exploring Splendid Liaoning·Experiencing Glamorous Five-Color Tour Routes”, the event incorporates five distinct tour routes, named Ancient-, Red-, Green-, Blue- and Brilliant-Color, which respectively refer to excellent traditional Chinese culture, revolutionary history and culture, poverty alleviation efforts and green development, marine development, utilization and protection, and scientific and technological innovation and development in various cities of Liaoning Province. By embarking on the “five-color” journey, the Chinese language learners in the province will appreciate the natural scenery and feel the history and culture firsthand, to witness the splendid Liaoning.
On that day, 17 international students studying at Northeastern University, Liaoning University, and Shenyang Normal University, who come from Confucius institutes in Russia, Belarus, Jordan, Lebanon, Senegal, Ghana, and other countries, stepped into the Shenyang Imperial Palace, Laobeishi, Liaoning Science and Technology Museum, and Hunhe River Bund. Through immersive experiences and real-life interactions, the event offered a remarkable opportunity for them to understand Liaoning’s development and changes, urban cultural construction, and stories about promoting the harmonious coexistence between human and nature.
Supported by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of the Ministry of Education and hosted by Liaoning University, the event aims to deepen the recognition and understanding of Liaoning Province among Chinese language learners in Liaoning, and promote the high-quality development of international Chinese education in the province.
