With its grey tiles, white walls and overhanging eaves, the tranquil and elegant Yingang Academy has weathered the passage of time and still stands there quietly. Located in Tieling City, Liaoning Province, Yingang Academy is the only ancient academy that has been preserved in Northeast China. It is also one of the five renowned academies in the Qing Dynasty and holds significant historical, cultural and educational value.
