This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam and the China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges. To make greater contributions to the continuous development of China-Vietnam relations with Liaoning’s efforts, on May 13, the launching ceremony of the “2025 China (Liaoning) - Vietnam (Long An) Friendship Week” and the Shenyang City - Long An Province Cultural Tourism Promotion Conference were held at the Shenyang Museum. Liaoning Province’s Shenyang City and Long An Province jointly signed a memorandum of friendly cooperation. 

With the theme of “Renewing Friendship and Pursuing Development”, this “Friendship Week” will successively hold a series of friendly exchanges and visiting activities in Shenyang and Dalian, including cooperation signing ceremonies, cultural tourism promotion conferences, intangible cultural heritage experiences, enterprise matchmaking events, and economic and trade cooperation exchange meetings, comprehensively showcasing the resource endowments, cultural charm and pragmatic cooperation achievements of Liaoning and Long An.

As early as 2015, as representatives of the friendship organizations of the two provinces, the Liaoning Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Long An Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations jointly established a friendly cooperative relationship, sowing the seeds of friendship. Since then, the two provinces have maintained an active and friendly interactive relationship through various activities, such as sending delegations, exchanging festive greetings through letters, carrying out cultural exchanges, and participating in people-to-people communications. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the friendly cooperative relationship, Shenyang City and Long An Province signed a memorandum of friendly cooperation, which will deepen the people-to-people friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two provinces and actively build a pragmatic, long-term friendly cooperative relationship for shared development.

On the afternoon of the same day, the delegations exchanged gifts, visited the Shenyang Imperial Palace, and tasted intangible cultural heritage delicacies. The two sides deepened their friendship through cultural resonance, explored cooperative opportunities through mutual learning in cultural tourism, and strengthened the foundation of friendship through strategic dialogues.
