Inspired by an Indonesian proverb—“Chase your dream, even if you have to go as far as China”, Vebriany Purnamasari left Jakarta, Indonesia, to chase her dreams in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. As an analyst at Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, she’s now pursuing an International Masters of Business Administration (IMBA) degree at Northeastern University.
She was instantly captivated by Liaoning’s unique blend of history and modernity. Daily life here is a breeze: scanning QR codes to order food and traveling between cities by high-speed trains. “Life in Liaoning is remarkably convenient,” she said. Beyond that, the hospitality of the Liaoning people has made her feel truly at home.
“Liaoning is an ideal place for the young generation to build careers, pursue knowledge and fulfill their ambitions,” Vebriany noted.
