Recently, a unique artistic dialogue took place as part of the study and exchange program “Bridge the Perspectives of Chinese and American Youth, Jointly Explore Chinese Civilization and Technological Innovation”, organized by Liaoning University. Twenty teachers and students from Illinois State University Laboratory School visited the Art School Affiliated to Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, using paintbrushes to spark a cross-cultural journey in artistic exchanges.

During the event, the US guests were paired one-on-one with local students for a portrait sketching activity. The local students poured their impressions of their new friends and their passion for art onto the paper, letting friendship flow naturally through every brushstroke. After the creation, the pairs exchanged their portrait works and shared commemorative gifts, marking a heartwarming chapter in China-US youth friendship.
