Liaoning Provincial Museum to Extend Opening Hours During May Day Holiday

To better serve visitors, the Liaoning Provincial Museum will extend its opening hours during the May Day holiday (May 1 to 5). From May 1 to 4, opening hours will be extended by 3 hours daily, from 9 am to 8 pm; on May 5, opening hours will be extended by 1 hour, from 9 am to 6 pm.

Currently, the museum operates on a no-reservation admission policy. Visitors may go directly to the museum, and after security checks, they enter by swiping their ID cards. Children and international tourists holding passports may enter via a dedicated passage. Visitors without taking along valid identity documents, and foreign visitors with passports may enter the venue after scanning a QR code on-site to log into the system and register. Senior citizens aged 70 and above, individuals with disabilities, and active-duty military personnel are granted priority admission upon presentation of valid credentials.

During the May Day holiday, visitors can admire several brilliant exhibitions, including Co-Creating the New Era: 2026 Exhibition of Excellent Artworks from China National Arts Fund-Supported Projects, Emblems of Virtue: Exhibition of Plaques Artifacts, Galloping Hooves: Chinese Zodiac Artifacts Exhibition for the Bingwu Year of the Horse, Songs of Seasonal Joy in Chinese New Year Prints, and The Glamour of the Tang and Song Dynasties: The Art World in Digital Painting Realm.
