To meet the public’s cultural demands during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the Liaoning Provincial Museum will extend its opening hours from June 19 to June 21. From June 19 to June 20, its opening hours will be extended by 3 hours daily, from 9 am to 8 pm (last admission at 7:30 pm); on June 21, its opening hours will be extended by 2 hours, from 9 am to 7 pm (last admission at 6:30 pm).
The museum operates on a no-reservation admission policy. Visitors can enter the museum by swiping their ID cards. Children and international visitors holding passports may enter via a dedicated passage. Visitors without taking along valid identity documents may enter the venue after scanning a QR code on-site to log into the system and register.

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, visitors can explore six distinct themed exhibitions on site, including Resonance of Metal, Virtue of Jade: An Exhibition on Chinese Inkstone Culture, Where the Guardian Mountain Meets the Sea: Exhibition of Archaeological Discoveries From the Liao Imperial Mausoleums at Yiwulyu Mountain, Co-Creating the New Era: 2026 Exhibition of Excellent Artworks From China National Arts Fund-Supported Projects, Emblems of Virtue: Exhibition of Plaques Artifacts, Ancient Games—A Thousand Years of Wisdom in Traditional Chinese Sports, and The Glamour of the Tang and Song Dynasties: The Art World in Digital Painting Realm.
