Zhang Yan, a designer from Liaoning, presented his brand SUNCUN at London Fashion Week SS2027. It is the only dedicated China-chic runway show on the official schedule of this season’s London Fashion Week.

Titled Dreams Borne on the Wind, the collection draws inspiration from the Chinese cultural concept of xu-shi, the interplay between reality and illusion. Crafted from premium materials including real silk, sheer tulle and wool, the designs incorporate traditional Chinese crafts including embroidery, reviving traditional hanfu silhouettes and classic motifs with a contemporary fashion vision. Zhang hopes to gain greater global recognition for China-chic through his creations.
