Recently, China Southern Airlines Logistics Co., Ltd. and Liaoning Panjin River Crab Association held a cooperation signing ceremony. The two sides formed a partnership, and Panjin is going to take advantage of the airline network resources of China Southern Airlines to promote the river crab brand nationwide and further expand the influence of products.
Panjin is the “ Number One City of Chinese River Crabs”. Last year, the cultivation base of river crabs in Panjin reached 1.72 million mu (114,667 hectares), with a production of 79,000 tons of river crabs, nearly 5,000 tons of which were exported. The output value attained 6 billion yuan. Panjin river crabs were sold to more than 150 cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Tianjin. Panjin has established a river crab association and an industry alliance, and has also set up a comprehensive e-commerce service platform for river crab products. It has opened 320 stores on e-commerce platforms such as Taobao, Jingdong, Tmall, Pinduoduo and other e-commerce platforms, with online sales accounting for 62.5% of the total.
The rapid development of the online marketing of Panjin river crabs has also put forward higher requirements for logistics and transportation services. This comprehensive cooperation in the field of air cargo will greatly improve Panjin’s logistics efficiency, broaden market circulation, build a fast, safe and cheap logistics platform for crab farmers, increase their income and thus contribute to rural revitalization.
