As the heat began to recede, the summer of 2023 was drawing to an end. In this summer, groups of overseas students from Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, India, Senegal, Vietnam, and Thailand visited museums and countryside, learned Chinese, wore cheongsams, and tasted delicious food in Liaoning. They wanted to share new, wonderful, beautiful, and cool Liaoning to the whole world.

From learning the origin of Chinese characters, to grinding the sticks on the Liao inkstones; from learning Chinese brush calligraphy, to drawing Chinese paintings; from perceiving the charm of Chinese paper cutting with scissors, to marveling at the beauty of cheongsams and Chinese Hanfu; the experience of traditional Chinese culture won praise from overseas students.

The overseas students visited countryside and pushed around the stone mills to truly experience the life here. They picked vegetables in greenhouses and found in surprise that the most well-known Chinese cuisine was scrambled eggs with tomatoes. They went to the forests in mountains to watch herons, enjoying Liaoning’s picturesque landscape of lakes and mountains. They were also amazed at the wonders in water caves while visiting them in small boats.

In Liaoning Provincial Museum, the overseas students saw many pieces of treasures. In China Industrial Museum, they wondered at the solid industrial foundation of Liaoning. In Shenyang Imperial Palace, they were impressed by the magnificent buildings.
