This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France. A delegation from Shenyang Conservatory of Music was invited to the 46th Romans International Dance and Music Festival in France. Their exceptional performances initiated a journey of international cultural and artistic exchanges, enhancing the friendship between the two countries.

The Romans International Dance and Music Festival, one of the eight major touring art festivals in France, is a long-standing international art festival. Teachers and students from Shenyang Conservatory of Music participated in various activities, such as the opening ceremony, parade performances, concerts, folk workshops, and public benefit flash mobs. They presented programs rich in Chinese traditional cultural characteristics to French audience, including classical dances like “Water Sleeves”, Northeastern Chinese folk dance “Chasing Butterflies”, pipa (a short-necked, four-stringed lute) solo “Sending You a Rose”, instrumental ensemble “Blooming Flowers and Full Moon”, and flute solo “Busy In Delivering Grain Hastily”. Their performances received warm applause from the local people.
