The Opening Ceremony of the 9th Asian Children’s Art Exhibition—China and ASEAN Session was held at the Shenyang Museum on September 26.

Since its inception in 2015, the Asian Children’s Art Exhibition has served as a platform for children to meet each other through their artwork. After holding eight successful sessions, it has received an enthusiastic response from nearly ten thousand children across Asia, becoming a name card of friendship and cooperation between Liaoning province and various Asian countries.

The 9th Asian Children’s Art Exhibition, held as part of the 2024 China-ASEAN Year of People-to-People Exchanges, showcased the creativity and dreams of young children from Asian countries, particularly from ASEAN countries. Through their innocent perspectives and colorful brushes, these children depicted their inner worlds, highlighting the diversity and unique charm of various cultural backgrounds.

The art exhibition, themed “Peace, Tranquility, Prosperity, Beauty, and Friendship”, is now collecting paintings from children under 15 years old from China and ASEAN countries. Since its launch in April this year, the event has received overwhelming attention and positive responses from children in China and ASEAN countries. It has amassed over 500 painting submissions from countries including China, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Brunei, and Singapore.
