2024-10-15

The construction of the terminal complex and its front viaduct pile foundation at Dalian Jinzhouwan International Airport officially began on the morning of October 12th.

Dalian Jinzhouwan International Airport, the first offshore “artificial island” airport in China, is located in the eastern sea area of Jinzhou Bay, with a land area of 20 square kilometres. It boasts excellent airfield conditions and a superior geographical location. The project is planned to be constructed in two phases, with the first phase consisting of 2 long-distance parallel runways and a 500,000-square-meter terminal complex, which is expected to handle 43 million passenger trips, 550,000 tonnes of cargo and 330,000 aircraft movements annually.

The completion of Dalian Jinzhouwan International Airport will greatly accelerate the construction of Dalian as a Northeast Asia international shipping center, international logistics center, and regional financial center. It will also facilitate the development of the Northeast Sea-land Corridor.
