Tang Xiao, a post-00s craftsman born in Anshan City, Liaoning Province, grew up in the jade carving studio of his father, where he was immersed in the sound of jade carving from childhood. After graduating from the China Academy of Art in 2023, he returned to his hometown, Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County, Anshan City, and founded the “Jade Sansheng” studio.
In his creations, Tang Xiao preserves the essence of traditional jade carving while infusing academic aesthetics into his designs. In his studio, there are both traditional pixiu handle pieces and koi pendants integrated with anime elements. By keenly capturing the preferences of young customers, he integrates Guochao trend (China-Chic) patterns and simple lines into his works, bringing youthful vitality to the ancient art of jade carving.
Currently, he showcases works like Auspicious Clouds and Spirit Beasts on short-video platforms. One of his videos introducing jade carving culture has garnered nearly 100,000 views.
