On November 21, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference to introduce the “Culture Warms the Winter, Snow Dances with Songs” Winter Cultural Carnival.
Liaoning boasts rich ice and snow resources and a uniquely captivating winter culture. To enrich the cultural life of the public during the winter season and foster a vibrant ice and snow cultural atmosphere, Liaoning will roll out over 40 premium cultural activities across six thematic segments in the winter of 2025, both online and offline. These activities will span artistic performances, exhibitions, cultural services for public benefit, online promotions, study tours, and cultural consumption. The carnival deeply integrates the natural beauty and cultural charm of Liaoning’s winter, creating a cultural feast for all.
Liaoning will launch the “Winter Rhymes of Liaoning” featured performance season, bringing together classic works from key professional art troupes. By integrating ice and snow themes into classic IP productions such as Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, it aims to deliver high-end audiovisual experiences. Additionally, the “Winter Appreciation in Liaoning” premium exhibition season will feature 10 major cultural exhibitions, inviting the public to visit museums and galleries to experience the profound heritage of ice and snow culture.
Liaoning will also roll out the “Winter Benefits in Liaoning” online service promotion season. Through the Liaoning Culture Cloud platform and various new media channels, it aims to break through geographical and temporal constraints, broaden the reach of activities, and bring the highlights of Liaoning’s culture into the digital realm, thereby extending its cultural influence. Special online events, such as virtual showcases of winter-themed artifacts from the Liaoning Provincial Museum, will blend ice and snow culture with winter tourism, expanding the reach and impact of cultural benefits for the public.
