The “Northeast City Football League (NCFL),” a regional football tournament in Northeast China, is attracting growing interest from the international community, drawing more foreign nationals into the event.
On May 16, one week ahead of the league’s opening, an international friendly match titled “Green Pitch, No Borders: Together for the NCFL” was held in Shenyang. Members of the foreign consular community in Shenyang, representatives of foreign-funded enterprises, representatives from various local sectors, and several participating players of the Northeast City Football League gathered on the pitch. The event utilized football to strengthen friendships and build connections, while also showing support for the upcoming league.
The match was filled with energy and enthusiasm. Chinese and international players competed side by side on mixed teams, showing strong teamwork throughout the game. Football helped bridge language and cultural differences, bringing participants closer together and highlighting the spirit of friendship and cultural exchange through sport. To commemorate the occasion, each participant received the official mascot of the Northeast City Football League, “Brother Tiger”. The mascot added a lively and memorable touch to the event, helping to create a festive atmosphere.
