On January 24, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference, introducing the latest updates on the upcoming “Made in Russia” Food Culture Festival.
This festival is scheduled to be held in Shenyang and Dalian from January 27 to February 5, with the grand kickoff taking place on January 27 at Shengjing Family on Zhongjie Street in Shenyang, and on January 28 at New Mart Shopping Mall in Dalian.
The “Made in Russia” Food Culture Festival boasts meticulously curated demonstration, tasting, and business zones. Within the demonstration zone, visitors can experience the unique charm of Russian food, learning about its ingredients, production techniques, and distinct flavors. The business zone will facilitate negotiations between Chinese and Russian enterprises, promoting fruitful cooperation and exchange. Moreover, the tasting zone promises to indulge visitors with the authentic flavors of Russian cuisine, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of Russian culinary culture.
The festival has attracted the participation of numerous well-known enterprises, including Cherkizovo, Makfa, Soyuzpischeprom, and the ice cream brand Natasha, which is making its debut in the Chinese market. Over 60 Russian companies are ready to showcase their products, introducing nearly 1,000 kinds of Russian brand products and popular goods to Liaoning. The festival will captivate visitors with over 1,000 distinct products, spanning eight broad product categories, including grains and oils, confectioneries, beverages, instant food, seafood, and ice creams.
During the festival, a series of cultural exchange activities will be held. Anna Shcherbakova, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics champion in women’s figure skating, known as the “Russian Ice Queen”, will grace the stage at Shengjing Family in Shenyang with her graceful and captivating skating performance. Accompanying this spectacle, ballet dancers from Russia will present famous ballet excerpts, including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Don Quixote. Notably, Michelin-starred chefs will bring their distinctive Chinese and Russian culinary skills to the stage, providing the audience with a live experience of the harmonious fusion of taste and visual delight.
Liaoning will seize the occasion of the “Made in Russia” Food Culture Festival to encourage increased participation from Russian companies, business associations, and other organizations, aiming to achieve substantial cooperation outcomes. The goal is to seek out collaboration prospects that bring mutual benefits and potential growth through the event.
