The recent inaugural ceremony of the China (Dalian) India Express 3 (CIX3) was held at Dalian Container Terminal, marking the successful launch of a direct shipping route to India via Liaoning Port Group. This new route is the second foreign trade container route launched by Liaoning Port Group this year.
In recent years, the economic and trade exchanges between Northeast China and India have grown closer, leading to an increase in the trade volume. In response, Liaoning Port Group has actively collaborated with China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited to promote the launching and operation of CIX3, aiming to accelerate the improvement of maritime logistics efficiency for import and export trade in the core area. Dalian Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station, Dalian Customs, and other relevant departments have proactively coordinated with shipping companies to ensure “zero waiting” for the arrival operations of the first voyage of CIX3, as well as “zero delay” for customs clearance and departure inspections.
The newly launched shipping route transports a diverse range of cargoes, including locally processed grain products, chemicals, minerals, and chemical fiber products, as well as high value-added products such as wind power equipment, mechanical equipment hazardous chemicals, and frozen goods. The launch of this route can save approximately one week in logistics for customers and significantly reduces logistics costs, making it a convenient, efficient, and cost-effective channel connecting Northeast China and South Asia.
