The cultural exchange event “Precious Liaoning Delicacy into Russia” was recently held in Moscow, with various well-known Liaoning delicacies presenting Chinese flavor to citizens in Moscow.

The event started with the “Liaoning Delicacy” exhibition, introducing Liaoning’s special ingredients, “Liaoning’s top ten famous snacks”, “Liaoning cuisine’s top ten famous dishes”, etc. Among them, the special exhibits fascinated Chinese and Russian guests the most, such as the “Peacock Greeting” food sculpture, the “Twenty-Four Solar Terms” jiaozi (Chinese dumpling) banquet, and the culinary techniques demonstrated by Chinese and Russian chefs.

Liaoning embraces a self-sufficient ecosystem, possessing a full range of high-quality ingredients, thus creating the delicious and unique Liaoning cuisine. Through food, the event has deepened the mutual understanding between China and Russia, and has further promoted communication and cooperation between the two sides in economy, trade, culture, as well as people-to-people exchanges and sister city partnerships.

Representatives attending the event were from the Chinese Embassy in Russia, relevant government departments of Liaoning Province, cultural, tourism, industrial and commercial circles of Moscow Oblast, and Chinese and Russian media.
