On March 25, 2024, Kang Dan, President of Thailand Liaoning General Chamber of Commerce, accompanied by a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs on a visit to Thailand, visited Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Han Zhiqiang.

During the discussion, Ambassador Han Zhiqiang provided an overview of the development of the friendship between China and Thailand in recent years, the investment environment in Thailand, and dos and don’ts for living and working in Thailand. Expressing his earnest desire, he urged the Chinese entrepreneurs to make their contributions to bilateral economic and trade exchanges.

President Kang Dan presented Ambassador Han Zhiqiang with a copy of the 10th issue of the 2023 edition of magazine Overseas Chinese featuring himself on the cover. Han was delighted and remarked, “Congratulations to President Kang Dan for being featured on the cover of the Chinese magazine Overseas Chinese!”

Furthermore, Han emphasized the importance of leveraging multiple channels to promote better understanding of Liaoning and even the entire Northeast China among the Thai people and invite them to visit China’s tourist attractions. That will boost stronger people-to-people connections and friendship, facilitate exchanges of unique products, and strengthen economic and trade ties between the two sides.

In addition, Han encouraged President Kang Dan to leverage the role of Thailand Liaoning General Chamber of Commerce, and take advantage of his connections in Thailand to enhance cultural and economic exchanges between China and Thailand.

During the meeting, President Kang Dan also presented his calligraphy work, titled “Deep Affection between China and Thailand”, as a gift to Ambassador Han Zhiqiang.
