The year 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of friendship between Liaoning Province and Japan’s Toyama Prefecture. A delegation of university students from Toyama Prefecture recently visited Liaoning Province to attend friendly exchange activities. During their visit, the 40 Japanese university students savored Liaoning delicacies, experienced traditional Chinese craftsmanship, and visited Japanese companies in Liaoning, forging deep friendships with Liaoning counterparts.

Shimizu Takuro, a student from Toyama Prefectural University in Japan, said excitedly, “During the in-depth visit in Liaoning for the past few days, I have felt the hospitality, affinity and enthusiasm of Liaoning people. After returning to Japan, I would really like to tell my family and friends about Liaoning’s beautiful natural scenery, rich tourism resources, prosperous urban environment, and the sincerity and friendliness of Liaoning people.”

On university campuses in Liaoning, Hano Hiroyuki, also a student from Toyama Prefectural University, not only experienced Chinese opera culture and cloisonné sand painting, but also played basketball and shared his insights with Liaoning university students of similar ages, forging deep friendships with them. “At this special moment of the 40th anniversary of friendship between Liaoning Province and Toyama Prefecture, representing the young generation, I hope to carry forward the 40-year friendship between the two sides, and shed light on the development of the friendly relations in the next 50 and even 100 years,” said Hiroyuki.
