12-Year-Old Liaoning Boy Wins World Drone Racing Runner-Up

On November 3, the 2024 World Drone Racing Championship successfully concluded in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province. This championship is the world’s highest-level drone racing event, recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Bai Xize, a 12-year-old student from Yandu Primary School in Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, finished runner-up in the individual and youth group.

In the finals, all pilots were set to fly drones three laps on the track and ranked by the total time. For the individual group, the Chinese pilot Bai Xize entered the finals with two South Korean and two Japanese pilots, and he finally secured the runner-up position.
