On December 11, 2024, the Information Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Government held a press conference of the series on the “Nature’s Embrace, Liaoning’s Grace” ice and snow economy in Yingkou, presenting the high-quality integrated development of Yingkou’s culture, sports and tourism.

During the 2024-2025 Winter Ice and Snow and Hot Spring Tourism Season, Yingkou will further diversify its ice and snow tourism offerings by creating four distinctive integrated themed scenarios. These efforts aim to establish a unique ice and snow cultural brand rooted in its characteristic river and sea features.

Themed Scenario 1: “Radiance of Yingkou”. Centered around the 17th Yingkou Ice and Snow and Hot Spring Tourism Season, the city has integrated the two core elements of ice and snow with hot springs to create an extraordinary ice and snow entertainment complex.

Themed Scenario 2: “Yingkou Festive Feast”. Starting from the end of December, a series of cultural events will be held, offering visitors a vibrant winter feast rich in ice and snow cultural experiences.

Themed Scenario 3: “Yingkou in Motion”. A series of professional ice and snow sports events, including the 2025 Liaoning Coastal Cities Ski Invitational, will be held. By focusing on high-profile skiing competitions, the city aims to promote the trend of “traveling with the excitement of sports events”.

Themed Scenario 4: “Memories of Yingkou”. Focusing on traditional Chinese festivals such as New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival, with the theme of the nostalgic charm of traditional Chinese New Year celebrations, Yingkou City has carefully prepared folk culture events to attract visitors from within and beyond the province to experience its cultural allure.
