On December 24, the 2nd Northeast Asia Finance Conference and the 2024 “Revitalizing Liaoning with Finance” Excellent Cases Release was held in Shenyang. The conference aims to further deepen financial opening-up and cooperation in Northeast Asia, steadily elevate the construction of a regional financial center to a new height. Over a hundred experts, scholars, financial institution leaders, and business representatives from home and abroad gathered to discuss the way to revitalize Northeast China through finance.
Under the theme of “Accelerate the Construction of a Regional Financial Center in Northeast Asia, and Forge a New Frontier of Opening-Up”, the main forum featured two roundtable dialogues on “Finance + Biomedical Industry” and “Finance + Cultural Industry”. Moreover, five parallel activities were conducted, including a seminar for foreign-funded financial institutions, an innovative development workshop for financial agglomeration zones, a forum on the development of technology and finance, a forum on industrial low-carbon transformation and financial innovation, and a corporate project roadshow and industry-finance matchmaking meeting, where participants engaged in discussions on topics such as high-quality financial development, scientific and technological finance, and green finance.
During the event, the 2024 “Revitalizing Liaoning with Finance” Excellent Cases and China (Northeast) Regional Financial Center Core Area Index were released. Furthermore, the unveiling ceremony for the upgrading of the Shenyang Finance and Trade Development Zone to a national-level development zone took place, initiating an analysis platform for Shenyang’s industrial insight decision and presenting the high-quality development of the Shenyang Financial and Trade Development Zone.
