As the Dragon Boat Festival (or Duanwu Festival) approached, Scarlett from LICC embarked on a fascinating cultural exchange trip at the 4th China-CEEC Expo in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province! She brought traditional five-colored threads from her hometown, initiating a heartwarming gift swap with international friends from Central and Eastern European countries.
The vibrant threads, carrying Chinese festive blessings, brought back delightful surprises: handmade chocolates, freeze-dried strawberries, souvenir bookmarks, and even a band’s signed CD! The international friends were absolutely charmed by the threads, exclaiming, “Wow, this is so unique!”—a perfect showcase of China’s cultural appeal.
More than just the exchange of gifts, these cross-border interactions bridged distances in the most youthful way. So, who gained the greatest reward? The answer is clear: when cultures connect, everyone gains!
