As spring unfolds, the Yalu River in Dandong, Liaoning Province welcomes the spectacular sight of migratory birds returning north. More than a thousand wild geese have arrived. Some rest on mid-river sandbars, others glide over green ripples, pausing here to have a rest on their long migration.
