On March 27, more than 20 teachers and students from VIVES University of Applied Sciences in Belgium visited the Shenyang Imperial Palace. In front of the Jiezhi Palace, a strikingly lifelike bronze crouching deer caught everyone’s attention. They patted its head, hugged its neck, and kissed its face—a traditional way of seeking blessings and welcoming good fortune. They all hoped that this little “divine creature” would bring them luck.
