The 6th “Invest in Liaoning” Conference is scheduled to open in Dalian on May 15. The event will showcase Liaoning’s work and achievements in trade promotion, including international engagement, investment promotion, enterprise services, commercial legal support, and opening-up and cooperation. It will combine an in-person main venue with a Chinese-English bilingual livestream, making the conference accessible to audiences worldwide in real time.
The conference will feature 185 high-quality investment projects and 115 underutilized premises, with total investment demand exceeding 110 billion yuan. The opportunities span a broad range of sectors, including high-end equipment, new materials, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, cross-border e-commerce, and ice-and-snow cultural tourism. The event will also review Liaoning’s achievements in expanding its international network, facilitating business matchmaking, providing commercial legal services, strengthening think tank capacity, and responding to business needs. These efforts demonstrate Liaoning’s concrete steps to build a stronger reputation for its business environment.
The conference will also focus on helping Liaoning enterprises expand overseas. It will introduce 16 practical measures to address challenges in market expansion, policy support, legal services, financial support, and business channel connections, helping local companies strengthen their overseas presence and global business networks. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Liaoning Sub-Council will sign strategic cooperation agreements with several overseas partners, including China Overseas Ports Holding Company Limited, the operator of Pakistan’s Gwadar Port, and the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Central Siberian Region of the Russian Federation. The agreements are expected to further support Liaoning’s eastward and northward opening-up.
During the conference, participants may choose from several site-visit routes to gain a closer understanding of Liaoning’s business and development environment. The “conference + site visits” format is designed to strengthen project matchmaking and promote practical cooperation.
