This jade pig-shaped dragon was excavated in Jianping County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. It acts as a symbol of power and faith. Scholars predicted that its prototype might be a combination of pigs and bears. The Hongshan ancestors integrated them into an abstract totem of the entire tribe.
