Recently, the China Railway Express Train No.X8195, loaded with 55 vehicles, departed from the China Railway Express (Shenyang) Hub. This marks the first China-Europe freight train from Liaoning Province that exits the border via Tongjiang North Port and will ultimately reach Elektrougli, Russia. The inaugural journey of this train has opened up a new passage connecting Liaoning to Russia and Continental Europe via Tongjiang Port, achieving full coverage of “Three Passages and Six Ports”.

It is understood that the opening of Tongjiang North Port and the establishment of a new passage from Liaoning to Russia mark a significant milestone in the development of the “Northeast Sea-Land Corridor”. It also serves as a strong support to promote Northeast China’s deep participation in jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative and creating a new frontier for increased opening-up.

Data shows that in the first seven months of 2023, the volume of China Railway Express (Shenyang) hit a record high of 479 import and export trains, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 25.07%. Among them, 186 trains were for exports and 293 for imports, with a groundbreaking import-export ratio of 61%:39%. The total value of goods reached 605 million dollars.
