The ten pavilions arranged in the shape of “swallow wing” on both sides in front of the Dazheng Hall of the Shenyang Imperial Palace are named the Shiwang (or Ten Kings) Pavilions, symbolizing the Qing Dynasty’s official system of “emperor and his courtiers handling political affairs together”, and containing rich traditional Manchu culture.
